General Information and History
Our Faculty, together with our University, was established with the Law No. 5662, which entered into force by being published in the Official Gazette dated 29 May 2007 and numbered 26536.
In the Departments of Business Administration and Economics of our Faculty, teaching activities have been continued at the undergraduate level in the 2008-2009 academic year, and in the departments of Political Science and Public Administration and International Trade and Logistics since the 2015-2016 academic year. Currently, a total of 1012 students, including 292 in the Department of Economics, 253 in the Department of Business Administration, 268 in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration, and 199 in the Department of International Trade and Logistics, are studying in our Faculty.
In the staff of our faculty for the 2024-2025 academic year, there are a total of 33 faculty members, including 7 Professors, 5 Associate Professors, 12 Doctor Faculty Members, 1 Lecturer, 7 Research Assistants. In addition, a total of 7 Administrative Personnel work, including 1 Faculty Secretary, 1 Dean's Office Secretary, 1 Department Secretary, 1 Department and 3 Servants.
The number of faculty members and research assistants is constantly increasing. It is aimed that our Faculty will be one of the strongest faculties in the region in the future. On the other hand, the presence of master's and doctoral programs in the departments of Business Administration and Economics further increases the importance of our Faculty.
Our faculty also actively participates in Farabi and Erasmus student exchange programs.
Our Faculty, which gave its first graduates in the 2011-2012 academic year, gave its 8th graduates in the 2018-2019 academic year. As of 2019, a total of 2376 students (167 of whom are foreign nationals) have graduated from our Faculty.
Our Faculty, which was located in Karataş Campus from September 2009 to September 2012, has been moved to our current building on the Central Campus since September 2012. There are 2 AMFI, 14 classrooms, 1 seminar room, 33 study offices and one canteen/cafeteria in our faculty building.
In line with Atatürk's Principles and Revolutions, the main goal is to educate human resources in our Faculty, who have the ability to research with scientific and free thought at the contemporary level, have developed national feelings, are sensitive to the realities of the world and the country and have the competence to produce solutions to the technological, economic, political, social and cultural problems of the society.
